Vanessa Carrington, Projects & Communications Manager
Vanessa brings 27 years of experience working as a communications specialist, project manager, information designer, writer, and editor. Known for her practical approach and strong writing skills, she produces clear, concise documents that reflect each client’s needs, goals, and capacity.
Vanessa has supported Indigenous communities, regional districts, municipalities, non‑profits, and social enterprises on a wide range of initiatives, including community strategies, environmental and risk management plans, government policies, engagement processes, technical training materials, and complex provincial and federal grant applications. Her work is grounded in collaboration, strong relationships, and a commitment to delivering useful, accessible outcomes that help organizations move their priorities forward.
Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Design and a Graduate Certificate in Information Innovation. She is certified in Planning for Effective Public Participation (IAP2) and the Fundamentals of OCAP® (First Nations Data Sovereignty). Additionally, she is a certified editor and trained in group facilitation and strategic planning.
