About: The SLCC is a globally recognized Indigenous organization built in 2008 to preserve, protect, and exhibit the culture, artifacts, and natural history of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) Nation and Lílwat7úl (Líl̓wat) Nation on shared territory in Whistler, BC. The award-winning facility is inspired by traditional Skwxwú7mesh and Lílwat7úl architecture, and offers exhibitions, performances, artist demonstrations, and community events. It is home to the Indigenous Youth Ambassador program, providing training and employment for Indigenous youth and cultivating lifelong learning opportunities in a safe and respectful environment. The museum offers exhibitions, performances, artist demonstrations, and community events throughout the year to more than 50,000 visitors from local, national and international destinations.
“Our Clear Course partners feel like a seamless extension of our internal SLCC team, closely aligned to our ethos, values and purpose of uplifting the Sḵwxwú7mesh and Lílwat7úl people, with pride and visibility on their land. They skillfully listen to our needs and translate them into successful grant applications and impactful outcomes across all areas of our organization.”
