Erica Vanloon, Project Coordinator

Erica grew up in the rural agricultural valley of Pemberton, BC, on a 250-acre seed potato farm. Having entered the entrepreneurial side of agriculture at a young age, she has a decade of experience in farm operations.

Driven by her desire to expand her reach as a global citizen, she completed an undergraduate degree in Global Development, followed by an MSc in Environment and Development. Erica focused her qualitative MSc dissertation on the intersections between Grizzly Bear food security and Indigenous food sovereignty in the Líl̓wat Nation.

With her agricultural background and academic experience, Erica brings her writing, research, and analysis skills plus her knowledge of sustainable agriculture, Indigenous engagement, and conservation to Clear Course’s team.
