Dawn Johnson, Managing Director

Dawn has worked with Indigenous communities, private enterprises, government agencies, and not-for-profit organizations on a wide range of funding and capacity-building projects. Her steady hand in guiding initiatives that span jurisdictions makes her an anchor in environments where politics and community needs often compete.

Dawn is a trusted expert at bringing Indigenous rightsholders and others to the table, helping them navigate complex situations with clarity and respect. She listens deeply, honours diverse perspectives, and fosters constructive dialogue, adapting quickly to overcome challenges as they arise.

With decades of experience in grant funding, project management, and leading complex community initiatives, Dawn brings a collaborative spirit and a commitment to creative, lasting solutions. Her work continues to generate meaningful and positive change in the communities Clear Course serves.

Dawn holds a diploma in Restoration of Natural Systems from the University of Victoria and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). When she’s not at her desk, Dawn is juggling the joys of raising two teenage daughters, tending to her garden, and being mentored by her bees (their communication and social skills are top-notch!). She also loves staying connected to nature by hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and foraging for food.
